I take this opportunity to warmly welcome you to our school website. St John’s Primary School is certainly a special place. It is a place where students are encouraged to feel safe and to know that they belong, a place where students’ individual strengths are nurtured and developed, and a place where faith and a sense of community are fundamental to who we are.
Our community of learning provides a quality Catholic education within an environment that blends over 75 years of proud tradition. Our dedicated staff and educational programs aim to support the development of the whole person in an environment based on Gospel values.
Our school has a rich heritage in the tradition of the Mercy and Dominican Sisters. Both orders were instrumental in establishing a community inspired by faith in the good news of Jesus. We are inspired to continue the journey of faith and are nurtured by the charism of the orders to achieve our mission of providing a quality Catholic community that enables each person to reach full potential in the light of our school motto, ‘Live Life to The Full’.
At St John’s, we seek to develop an appreciation of who we are as individuals and as a community. We strive to be the best we can be both for ourselves and in order to contribute to the wider community and make a difference in the world.
Our school actively welcomes and encourages parent engagement and involvement, and we are actively supported by the St John’s Parents and Friends (P&F) Association. The students, staff and parents that comprise our community make our school a wonderful place to be.
I encourage you to take a tour of our school through the information that is contained in this website, and I welcome you to contact us if you wish to make further enquiries. We look forward to welcoming you at our school in the future.
